New Tent Open

17th May 2016

Lapwing, our new tent, is now available to book. The same sized tent, with slightly different furnishing, it has now welcomed its first guests. I’m delighted to say that although the view is of course slightly different it is just as good. Inside it is equally light and airy, warm and cosy, thanks to the extra windows and efficient log-burner. We can now offer you the chance to chill at either end of this beautiful meadow on one of the loveliest glamping sites available. (Of course we are not biased, we know our pictures speak for themselves, not to mention our reviews). There is ONLY ONE weekend in June currently available. Grab it quickly. There is no better place to relax in the glorious South Downs.

Blackberries are ripening

23rd August 2015

Blackberries are ripening in many of our hedgerows now. September is just the time to enjoy some late summer sun and it looks as though we will have a bumper crop of blackberries this year. I nearly tripped over some close to the tent this evening – blackberry and apple crumble will soon be on its way! Well, if they don’t get eaten on my breakfast muesli first.

20 miles of the South Downs Way

8th July 2015

Join the South Downs Way here.

Our latest guests walked 20 miles of the South Downs Way.

Here’s what Cait had to say:

We had a brilliant weekend in this fabulous tent. It’s in a beautiful secluded location with amazing views across the South Downs. The owner had put a lot of thought into the set up of the tent and there was everything you could possibly need for a holiday stay. She was incredibly helpful – meeting us and our supermarket delivery driver! There were also food essentials provided, including delicious bread and lemon drizzle cake. Cooking on the wood stove was great fun and the beds were comfy – very welcome after a long day’s walking on the downs. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Thanks Cait. We’re so glad you enjoyed it.

This must be one of the most beautiful views in Hampshire. What could be better than a working lunch sitting in the sunshine looking at that?

The Amazing Tentsile

20th March 2015

Tentsile

The tentsile has arrived and we have set it up. Our son describes it as different, fun and exciting. We think he’s right. It’s like a piece of magic hidden in the wood and it is nothing like anything you have seen before. He can’t wait to sleep in it.
